Moderator, Women in Construction: #ChooseToChallenge

12 March 2021

Our Associate, Nadiah Nazri, moderated a webinar titled “Women in Construction: #ChooseToChallenge” held in conjunction with International Women’s Day 2021. The webinar organised by YSCL featured an esteemed panel of speakers: Tan Swee Im of 39 Essex Chambers, Irene Mira of AIAC, Naz Rahim of PMCC-Corporation and Serene Hiew of Harold Lam Partnership.

In the webinar, the panelists shared their professional highs and lows as women in what many opine to be a male-dominated industry. They spoke about gender-specific challenges in their career, the expectations and standards society have subjected them to, how men can be allies to the fight for gender equality and safe workplace environment, as well as words of encouragement for women in the construction industry.
